The fifth edition of the Lady Dior art collaboration series is here for the year. The iconic silhouette, which was originally made famous by Princess Diana who donned the bag in the ‘90s, the bag continues to reinvent itself and find ways to be modern. The bag is truly an artisanal gem designed, sewn, and stitched to accentuate beautiful materials. The bag is also an open book on the storied identity of a house deeply attached to its symbols.

For the fifth edition of the Dior Lady Art series, ten artists and collectives from around the world have participated in a game of reinterpretation and metamorphosis, truly making the Lady Dior a unique work of art. The ten lucky artists and/or collectives that got to give their twist to the Lady Dior bag this go around include Joël Andrianomearisoa, Judy Chicago, Gisela Colon, Song Dong, Bharti Kher, Mai-Thu Perret, Recycle Group, Chris Soal, Claire Tabouret, and Olga Titus.

In our increasingly diverse world, where we globally have been brought to heel by the coronavirus pandemic, bringing together a global collective of artists to celebrate fashion, beauty, and what will hopefully be brighter days was a beautiful move for Dior. The prestigious list of artists and collectives represents one of the most globalized groups to participate in the Dior Lady Art series in the five years the collaborative project has been going. It’s a feast of glamour, darlings, dig in.
