Dior is here to help us ring in the Lunar New Year. To mark the spectacular holiday event in China, Dior has released a special capsule collection. For the women’s collection, a new floral motif, the “Dior Hibiscus”, is here to joyfully bedazzle new ready-to-wear, handbags, jewelry, and accessories. The floral designs are inspired by the China rose, are displayed alongside ears of wheat on lightly pleated dresses, airy skirts, and flowing tops. Dior’s crème de la creme of bags, the Lady Dior bag, has also felt the moment of flower power for the capsule collection.

The men’s capsule collection was done in collaboration with artist Shawn Stussy, the man best known in the ‘80s surf scene. Stussy worked with Dior menswear director Kim Jones to create an ox motif — the 2021 animal for the Chinese zodiac — in shade of navy blue, red, or white The menswear pieces bear the Dior and Shawn signature, like minimalist graffiti.

At the crossroads of countercultures and the sportswear universe, a jersey hoodie, enhanced with moiré effects, a two-tone reversible T-shirt, sweaters, an overshirt and a vintage-style bomber boldly showcase Jones’ and Stussy’s creations.

Dior’s other famed bags, including the Saddle and Ride, have also been reinvented – notably in a new white version –, punctuated with the letters “Dior” and the new logo. The B23 sneakers – adorned with a patch – and the B27 sneakers, meanwhile, blend the Dior Oblique code with Stussy’s art. Other pieces include ties, belt buckles, jewelry – with hand-applied strass – and card holders. We might not be able to enjoy a Lunar New Year’s parade, but at least we can enjoy some Lunar New Year inspired fashion.
