Kim Jones, Dior Homme’s creative director has recently collaborated with Sacai’s founder and designer Chitose Abe for a menswear collection. The two longtime friends have brought their respective cultures together to create a sleek capsule collection that will be available in November.

With their love of streetwear in common, Jones and Abe have fashioned a collection of reimagined signatures that capture a utilitarian look with hints of floral brocades. Trademarks of each brand are subtly displayed and woven throughout the collection. Bomber and worker jackets paired with French berets and heavy knits play on French and Japanese culture. The dark black, deep navy, and stark white garments are detailed with traces of burnt orange and hunter green accessories for a cozier fall feel. Two-tone tailored trench coats exude the elegant streets of Paris while heavy denim work coats are fit to travel to the busy streets of Tokyo. The capsule collection showcases the influence of Sacai through the fusions of soft and sturdy fabrics, and an overall layered streetwear influence that is sure to keep customers warm in the chilly fall months. Together, Jones and Abe have taken the Dior’s best-selling saddle bag and given it a sporty masculine twist by incorporating nylon, elastic bungee cords, and converting it from a purse to a belt bag and over-the-shoulder bag.

This dynamic capsule collection elevates the autumn essentials into chic up-to-date streetwear keeping us warm and fashionable. With the beginning of COVID-19 restrictions lifting, these pieces are sure to be seen everywhere from our favorite coffee shops to the streets of our favorite fashion capitals.
