DKNY has launched an exclusive, unisex collaboration with Brooklyn-based artist Jeremyville. When Jeremyville began creating this collection he was focused on a positive feeling, and the vision of people enjoying life and doing things they love after a year of restrictions from COVID-19. His goal in collaborating with DKNY was to speak to a customer who embraced the freedom of self-expression, individuality, and being true to yourself.
Jeremyville said DKNY was an ideal partner for this collaboration because, “For me, DKNY captures the spirit and energy of my hometown, New York. It's the quintessential NYC brand that people from around the world connect with and imagine the exciting energy of New York. My art studio is in the heart of downtown, and over the last decade, I've captured the vibe of this city through 100's of artworks, it still inspires me each day. It felt like a natural fit to collaborate with DKNY as an homage to my favorite city.”
To that end, Jeremyville’s themes for the collection include iconic moments in New York City focusing on positivity, community, individuality, and unity. The art was selected for this collaboration through Jeremyville working with his creative partner Megan Mair to develop a New York streetscape that captured the energy of downtown New York City. They wanted to bring to life the unique characters and streets that make New York famous. The design direction is graphic and abstract with some surreal moments. “It’s kind of like the personality of the city, but it also suits a fashion application of the art,” Jeremyville said.

“My art captures the cities and people of our time, connecting with others and empowering people to celebrate their uniqueness. I believe fashion can do the same and DKNY is a part of that story.”
