Art and fashion continue to intersect in newfound ways. This month, Christie's presents Art Adorned: a private selling exhibition of Old Master paintings and decorative arts paired with couture creations from Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda and Alta Gioilleria. These creations sitting alongside each other at exhibition create a visual feast of fashion and fine art, tracing the influences of the Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo movements on the opulent garments and jewels of Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda collection — a testament to the enduring power of classic art on contemporary culture today.

Fine art has been an enduring influence on the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda and Alta Gioielleria Collections, Domenico Dolce and Steffano Gabbana’s homage to unabashed luxury and Italian craftsmanship. The artworks outside of the fashion pieces range from the 14th to 18th century.

Art Adorned will be open to the public at Christie’s, 8 King Street, St James’s, London SW1Y 6QT, and with items on view available for purchase privately. The show is open from now until December 3 with weekday hours from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and weekend hours from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
