Parisian fashion brand, Each Other, has teamed up with Los Angeles-based stylist, artist, model, and creative director, Amanda Wall, for a capsule collection that launched for pre-fall 2019. Proceeds from the capsule collection will go toward the Free Arts Organization in Los Angeles, which uses art to restore hope, resiliency, and self-esteem in children ages 5 – 18.
Each Other was created with the ethos “Art Meets Fashion,” by designer and entrepreneur Ilan Delouis and artistic and gallery owner Jenny Mannerheim. Every season the brand collaborates with a different artist, so each collection truly fuses the two mediums. For pre-fall 2019, Each Other chose to collaborate with Wall because of her expertise in beauty, business, arts, and fashion.
“We have been following Amanda Wall for quite some time and love how she is multidimensional and wears many hats. We are excited for this collaboration as each piece will serve as a living painting on anyone who wears it,” said co-founder and creative director Jenny Mannerheim.
For this capsule collection, Wall revisited a selection of artworks that portrayed her intimate life. By giving these images an additional dimension, a new texture, as well as physical motion, the clothes have a unique interpretation based entirely on the person wearing it.
“The paintings which I chose for this collection were created over the past year in Los Angeles," Wall said. "They are paintings of my life, of different moments based on intimacy and also isolation. I liked the idea of taking something that I had created as a still image, and giving it additional dimension, a new texture, physical motion - a completely unique interpretation based entirely on the person wearing it. A living painting.”
