Luxury Italian fashion label Ermenegildo Zegna’s collaboration with streetwear label Fear of God has finally arrived. The new collaboration combines both Zegna’s classic, sartorial style with Fear of God’s sophisticated approach to athleisure. For the launch of the collection, two events took place, one in Chengdu, China with the opening of a pop-up store, where the design and settings followed the footprint of the launch event in Paris last March, and another one between Milan and Los Angeles where Alessandro Sartori, Zegna’s creative director, and Jerry Lorenzo, Fear of God’s creative director, digitally walked guests through the collection during a livestreaming conversation in Zegna boutiques.
42 pieces from the collection are also being carried on Mr Porter with featured pieces including a cashmere hoodie, a logo-embossed leather bomber jacket, an oversized logo print T-shirt, and a logo-appliquéd bomber jacket, an oversized logo-print T-Shirt, and a logo-appliquéd bomber jacket.
Of all the misfortune that came out of the year 2020, at least there is now something to celebrate in menswear. Collaborations continue to be a strong suit for brands looking as they bridge the gap between two different sets of customers. Streetwear meets suiting in an aesthetically triumphant collection.
