The Fendi baguette bag has found a new colorway in the iconic Tiffany blue. The Italian luxury brand has collaborated with the famed jewelry brand to reimagine the highly coveted Fendi baguette bag in a new color. The color debuted at Fendi’s 25th-anniversary runway show during New York Fashion Week

The bag was not only a collaboration between the two houses but was also a collaboration between Marc Jacobs and Fendi womenswear creative director Kim Jones, who also serves as the creative director of Dior Homme. This was a reunion for the two designers, as Jacobs hired Jones as the menswear director of Louis Vuitton back when he was the creative director of Louis Vuitton.

The bag was modeled on the runway by none other than top model Bella Hadid, who walked the runway in a zipped-down Tiffany blue jumpsuit with the bag in arm. The entire runway show was easily an homage to the baguette bag.

Pieces included small baguette pendants on chains and gloves and beanies with mini baguette pockets. There was even a baguette with multiple Baguette-style pockets. Fitting for the bag’s 25th anniversary. The baguette bag is not only a best seller for Fendi but also a cultural icon.

In some ways, the Fendi baguette bag was an overnight success and had perfect timing with the success of the hit TV series Sex and the City. The bag first came to prominence in America when Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw wore the bag in season one of the show. Demand for the bag instantly skyrocketed, and to this day it’s one of Fendi’s best sellers. In the reboot of Sex and the City, And Just Like That, Carrie is also seen carrying a purple sequin version of the bag.
