Gillian Anderson is turning designer with her first ever capsule collection for British luxury label, Winser London. The actress, best known for her roles on The Fall and X Files, has crafted the womenswear line as part of the brand’s fall/winter 2018 lineup.

Taking cues from her own personal style, Anderson has designed minimalist and classic winter staples such as a tuxedo jacket, slim-leg cigarette pants, a silk shirt, and a cashmere crew-neck jumper with contrast tipping. The collection also features two double-faced swing style coats with a color palette ranging from a deep midnight navy, to lighter touches of ivory and injections of bright pink purple and yellow.

“What I love about the pieces individually and collectively is that they can be dressed up or down. Even the double-faced light wool swing coat, when tied, feels like it could be a bathrobe. It maintains its elegance while being eminently cosy,” Anderson told AS IF in an exclusive statement. She further advised how you can style the individual pieces. “The silk cotton blouse is free of buttons down the front so it somehow feels more relaxed as you slip it on over the head. Its collar and double length cuffs can be styled in four different, ways increasing its potential with both suits and jeans. The one item that you’d think is one thing and one thing only, the roll neck oversized sweater, is still a cashmere blend, and stylish enough to be worn with a skirt and heels - or our cigarette pants!”
