Indi-pop provocateur GIRLI, whose real name is Milly Toomey, burst on the UK music scene in 2015 and has been steadily gaining musical prominence on a global scale. With her distinctive fusion of pop, punk, and electro beats set to razor-sharp lyrics that challenge heteronormality, GIRLI attracts audiences tired of the conventional boy-meets-girl narrative.

In her song Nothing Hurts Like A Girl off her newly released sophomore album “Matriarchy”, GIRLI reflects on how dating boys isn’t all that, but being heartbroken by a girl feels much worse. GIRLI’s songwriting repertoire extends beyond finding love and embraces self-acceptance while tackling topics that range from mental health, body dysmorphia, and societal critique.

As she continues to evolve as an artist, GIRLI remains a compelling figure in the ever-changing landscape of pop music, proving that authenticity and individuality are the keys to making a lasting impact.
