Louis Vuitton is continuing its ongoing partnership with UNICEF by launching the first Silver Lockit braceleted designed by men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh. The new design is inspired by Abloh’s spring/summer 2020 runway collection for Louis Vuitton, and comes available in four colorways including black, orange, celadon green, and blue with hints of yellow. The bracelet features Abloh’s signature bold chains in silver linked to a colorful cord, Louis Vuitton charm, and engraved padlock.
In continuation of its #MAKEAPROMISE campaign, Louis Vuitton is committed to raising awareness and funds for UNICEF to support the most vulnerable children around the world. UNICEF is committed to providing conflict and disaster affected children with access to water, sanitation, nutrition, education, health and protection services. This includes support to Syrian refugees and host communities in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Turkey, as well as children affected by recent natural disasters.
The Silver Lockit is inspired by the tumbler lock invented by Georges Vuitton in 1890 to protect clients’ most precious belongings. The design was created in 2016, and was chosen as a symbol of sealing one’s promise to help children at risk. The four Silver Lockit designs by Virgil Abloh retail at $430, and $100 of which will be donated to UNICEF. Since Louis Vuitton launched the Silver Lockit, the partnership has raised ten million dollars for UNICEF.
The Silver Lockit is now available on louisvuitton.com and in over 150 Louis Vuitton stores worldwide.
