According to the Spring 2018 runways, minimalism is on the outs—major color and high-impact prints are in. Luxury labels from the likes of Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, and more offered up a colorful sensibility for the season, showcasing their distinctive interpretations of candy-colored metallics and clashing prints. In order to capture the season’s crazy-colorful aesthetic, photographer Tatijana Shoan and stylist Stacey Jones headed to Mexico to shoot the looks in an equally-vibrant setting, channeling a dash of Frida Kahlo’s signature look for a sprightly—and slightly mad—twist.
