Tatjana Patitz has a face that launched a thousand ships, as Helen of Troy did in fictional antiquity. One of the original supermodels, her strikingly beautiful face graced hundreds of fashion magazine covers all over the world. Patitz walked the runways alongside the other supermodels: Linda [Evangelista], Christy [Turlington], Naomi [Campbell], Claudia [Schiffer], and Cindy [Crawford]. And this statuesque beauty traveled the globe to shoot fashion editorials for Anna Wintour who considers her one of the Top 5 fashion models ever.

Patitz shot major campaigns for the top international fashion houses with the biggest photographers of the day such as Peter Lindbergh, Herb Ritts, Bruce Weber, and Patrick Demarchelier. And for those not privy to the hierarchy of the fashion world, the 80s and 90s pop star George Michael memorialized her in his now legendary video, "Freedom". 

As a makeup artist, I am not only drawn to the unique architecture of someone's face, but also to the radiance that comes from within. It is this combination that inspired this editorial.
