The Blonds and Motorola RAZR celebrated PRIDE at the Boom Boom Room at The Standard, High Line NYC with a '70s-inspired fashion collection. Notable attendees from the fashion and entertainment industry, along with purveyors of New York nightlife, included Susanne Bartsch, Tinashe, Mazurbate, Angelica Ross, Maye Musk, Nyle DiMarco, Ty Hunter, Olivia Ponton, Dylan Mulvaney, Nick Adams, Zane Philips, Tomas Matos, Zion Moreno, Ashlee Keating, Emira D’Spain, Honey Davenport, Gabi DeMartino, Deja Fox, CT Hedden, Lexi Wood, and Angel Merino.

The Blonds in partnership with Motorola also launched a limited-edition couture lanyard, with all proceeds benefitting the New York City Anti-Violence Project. The lanyards are a hands-free phone accessory bringing The Blonds love for crystals together with the futuristic design of the Motorola Razr. Available in three Razr-inspired colorways, blush gold, silver, and black, the piece helps you keep your device up close and personal.

“This collaboration was all about celebrating pride and individuality,” said The Blonds co-creative director and co-founder David Blond. “Motorola really challenges the status quo. They really try to make devices that work with creatives in the best way possible. It was important to showcase this collaboration during pride because, with everything we’re dealing with right now, we needed to bring some fun and color into the world.”

The Blonds decided to partner with the New York Anti-Violence Project because they are focusing on doing more community-based work and projects instead of just creating clothes for fun. They also selected the Top of the Standard as their venue because they wanted to harken back to Studio 54 days. Jerry Hall, Liza Minelli, and Pat Cleveland inspired many of the Studio54 era outfits. Sequins, latex, and gold exemplified the pinnacle of ‘70s star glamour. It was a grand prologue to the NYC Pride Parade that would follow the next day.
