I met with Iris Gattegno Tarbuk with one intention: to understand what she actually does. Many who know her, whom she has guided, describe her as a medium, someone who can speak to souls, but that is just an aspect of her work, not the whole picture. Some may refer to her as a fortune teller, but she is quick to dismiss that title. “I don’t predict the future, I read the soul”, is her answer. The difference is everything: one sells certainty; the other restores your compass. Having the opportunity to be read by her feels like opening a window in a stuffy room: the air changes. She identifies behavioral patterns on a spiritual and practical level that you were once unwilling or unable to see. She suggests paths that can free us from stagnant energy and unwanted outcomes. We come to see our own patterns, and she helps us realize that these patterns manifest things, people, and situations that affect our lives, both wanted and unwanted. In other words, her work is about reading the deeper patterns of a person’s journey—the emotional and spiritual threads that shape who we are and the relationships we attract.
