Model Grace Mahary bewitched me the moment I saw her walk for Tommy Hilfiger back in 2014 and I have been following her career that has since come to include social activism, trained sommelier, and mother of two. Grace has mastered the art of balance, gracefully navigating between these worlds. Born to Eritrean parents in Canada, Grace’s journey is as multifaceted as her identity. Known globally as a model, Grace’s face has graced the covers of top magazines, and she has walked more than 200 runways for design houses that include Chanel, Balenciaga, Givenchy, and Saint Laurent. Beyond the runways, Grace’s passion for social justice and her advocacy for clean energy access in East Africa through her foundation, Project Tsehigh, reveal a depth that transcends the glamour of fashion. With Project Tsehigh, Grace is tackling one of the world’s most pressing issues: energy poverty. By providing sustainable solar solutions to off-grid communities, she’s helping transform lives in Eritrea and beyond. Her work reflects a profound understanding of her roots and a dedication to creating lasting change for people who need it most.
