American painter Will Cotton and luxury Italian jewelry brand Ippolita have become charmed with each other, quite literally. Cotton and Ippolita have launched what is the third collaboration in Ippolita’s “Artist Charms” series, a fundraising initiative in partnership with the Brooklyn Museum featuring limited-edition pieces designed in conjunction with acclaimed contemporary artists.

Cotton’s collection features a series of colorful charms and rings inspired by candy and dessert, very fitting for a man that AS IF Magazine once described as the “candyman of art.” Cotton’s collaboration follows Ippolita’s first collaboration with visual artist and performer Nick Cave in the form of two Bunny Boy Soundsuit charms, and the jewelry brand’s second collaboration with New York-based artist Deborah Kass with a set of YO/OY charms.

Ippolita Rostagno, founder and CEO of Ippolita and an artist herself, collaborated with Cotton to create the series of colorful rings and charms for a collection that features a total of five charms and a charm cluster pendant. The first set of charms will be of a “Gum Drop” in four colors including blue, green, yellow, and red set on an 18k gold band. There will also be a limited edition 18k gold and ceramic “Peppermint” charm, and an 18k gold and diamond pavéd “Gum Drop,” as well as an 18k gold “Candy Cluster Pendant.” All fourteen charms in the series will be available for purchase exclusively through Ippolita online and offline direct channels and 50 percent of proceeds will be donated to the Brooklyn Museum.
