Adeam will be celebrating the opening of Forty Five Ten’s Hudson Yards location with the release of a limited edition dress to be sold exclusively at the new retail location in addition to Forty Five Ten’s Dallas location.
“Forty Five Ten has been an amazing supporter of Adeam for years, and we’re very excited to collaborate on a limited item for their Hudson Yards store opening,” said Hanako Maeda, Adeam founder and creative director. “We wanted to do something special for the store, as it’s opening just up the street from our showroom.”
Japanese culture has always found a place in Maeda’s collections, and continued to for his spring/summer 2019 collection. Maeda was inspired by ‘90s fashion in Japan, Maeda looked to vibrant prints and embroideries found in kimonos. These fabrics were a big influence to Japanese designers at the time, and these traditional elements were often mixed with Western silhouettes.
The dress was created in a beautiful sea green Japanese cotton, in a military wrap silhouette that is both lightweight and wrinkle-free, and features a phoenix embroidery that evokes the traditional kimono embroidery.
The price point for the dress is $1400.
Hudson Yards will be opening this week with other top retail stores including Brooks Brothers, Louis Vuitton, Neiman Marcus, and Fendi.
