Luxury accessories brand Lutz Morris and Germany’s stored Royal Porcelain Manufactory, KPM Berlin, have come together to bring their shared commitment to craftsmanship and stylish design for the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus. For this special luxury project, both companies revived the interdisciplinary cooperation of various craft and art forms, which was already present during the Bauhaus era.

For more 250 years, KPM Berlin has stood for design “Handmade in Berlin.” The buzzing metropolis has been home to the manufactory for 2 ½ decades. Around 200 manufacturers work work creating the acclaimed designs. Each piece takes 29 working steps, carried out in 14 working days by 25 manufacturers in order to make one single piece of porcelain.

KPM Berlin has created a limited edition of 10 Dejeuner Tea Set designed by Bauhaus teacher, Marguerite Friedlander, and a Dejeuner-pattern porcelain To-Go Cup, designed by KPM head of design Thomas Wenzel, both of which were hand-painted in the Bauhaus 100 design.

Lutz Morris has released a limited-edition of 5 intarsia bags by the Bauhaus 100 design. The bag is partially hand-painted by KPM Berlin master painter Astrid Schulz, who has transferred the original Dejeuner pattern onto the bag and To-Go Cup. Each of the limited-edition bags has a numbered and signed porcelain plaque inside, a nod to KPM Berlin, its finest porcelain and flawless craftsmanship. In addition, Lutz Morris has outfitted each of the 10 KPM Berlin To-Go Cups, a symbol for the importance of sustainability within the work of the manufactory, with a luxe leather sleeve. Together, the To-Go Cup and bag make the perfect match for a stylish, modern and lasting duo on the go.
