Robert Geller took us to the moon for NYFW: Men’s with a sportswear inspired collaboration done with Lululemon. Though the two seem an unlikely pair, the former a menswear street brand, and the latter a go-to for spin class gear, they found a way to make harmony.
Clocking in at a total of 12 pieces, Robert Geller teamed up with Ben stubbington, Lululemon’s senior vice president of men’s design, to create a collection that complemented his design vision with pieces that transition seamlessly from sport to street. The holy trinity uniting these pieces were function, performance, and style with everything being able to transition from morning workouts to busy urban life and international travel.
The collection was entertainingly titled “Take the Moment”, fitting for a collection that has both a sportswear and urban chic vibe. Pieces featured include short-sleeve t-shirts, tanks, and shorts with breathability functions and a full range of motion. Looks like those dashing to the subway before the doors close have found their perfect uniform.
It’s 2019 and gender’s cancelled, so the collection is also unisex. Price points range for $68 to $398. It will be hitting stores on May 6.
