Y/PROJECT AND UGG UNVEIL RENAISSANCE-INSPIRED FALL CAMPAIGN

Australian footwear brand, UGG has teamed up with Y/Project for their fall/winter 2018 collection. To celebrate the iconic collaboration, Glenn Martens, creative director of Y/Project, unveiled their fall campaign with models reworked into renaissance-era artworks.
The exclusive campaign images depict mythological nudes sporting new styles from the collection. Alluding to UGG’s "timeless" place in fashion, and in the spirit of Y/Project’s freedom and versatility, Martens is aiming to re-create history and celebrate the classic boot through period art.
"The Classic boot is one of the most recognisable shoes in history. It is a statement. The starting inspiration would be the birth of Venus," said Martens.
"This is about the birth of something classic, the birth of this collaboration, surfing on waves, twisting the expected, triggering the eye in an eclectic mishmash of different codes.”
The UGG x Y/Project footwear line features six new UGG styles such as slouch, over-the-knee, slides and layered knee-height. The collection will be available for purchase from mid-September and will be be priced between from $300 and $1400.
