As the days get warmer (or more humid) and longer, we're in store for new styles, preferably those with a distinctive edge. From bikinis to sneakers and T-shirts to evening wear, limited edition capsules and exclusive collaborations are popping up everywhere. Ahead, shop the best collaborations across womenswear, menswear, swimwear, shoes and accessories from this month that will take you effortlessly into transitional late-spring days.
Cult Gaia x Adriana Degreas
Beloved womenswear and accessories label Cult Gaia teamed with Brazilian bathing suit designer Adriana Degreas on its first foray into swimwear. Defined by tropical motifs in geometric patterns, the range includes bikinis, one-pieces and cover-ups.
Italian couturier Giambattista Valli tried his hand at fast fashion this month. Valli partnered with H&M on a playful line of evening wear. While the gowns and accessories will officially launch this November, H&M released a limited number of pieces from the collaboration online and in select stores following a debut on the Cannes red carpet.
Womenswear designer Karen Walker teamed with the archive of late artist Frances Hodgkins to create a capsule of clothing and accessories. The collection released in early May to coincide with a new exhibition on Hodgkins' work in the Auckland Art Gallery. Pieces from the capsule are currently available online.
For the second time, JW Anderson and Converse have partnered in a range of desirable sneakers. The 17-piece Spring/Summer 2019 collection brings glittery motifs and a logo-filled style to the Chuck 7o and Run Star Hike silhouettes.
Mr. Porter and filmmaker Matthew Vaughn have once again collaborated on the Kingsman label of luxury menswear inspired by notable film styles. This time, the collaboration looks to Rocketman - a new biopic telling the story of Sir Elton John. The 16-piece collection is comprised of tailored suit pieces and a pair of boots.
Rocketman has had quite an influence on collaborations this month. Saville Row tailor Richard James created two iterations of the limited edition Rocket Shirt, which is a navy or gray T-shirt with an embroidery of a rocket rendered in Swarovski crystals.
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus, handbag label Lutz Morris partnered with porcelain manufacture KPM Berlin on a range of home goods and accessories. The range includes a limited edition of five handbags, a tea set and a to-go cup, each designed in a manner that exemplifies the utilitarian ideology of Bauhaus aesthetic.
Maison Kitsune came together with Japanese makeup brand to launch a line of beauty products called #mycamostyle. The six-piece collection works together to create a camoflauge-inspired look through makeup.
