Classic rock will never go out of fashion. Just ask Proenza Schouler who recently launched an exclusive capsule collection in celebration of the Grateful Dead. The brand’s fall/winter 2018 collection drew from many 70s American-based references including tie-dye, macramé, crochet, and fringe.

With all this reference to 70s Americana, the Grateful Dead become a point of inspiration. By distilling the elements of the Grateful Dead’s insignia, a stripped down thunderbolt eblem was adapted and license in collaboration with Warner Music Group. The adapted icon was incorporated into the collection in high frequency, knitwear, and printed leather fabrications in both ready-to-wear and accessories.

After departing New York for Paris Fashion Week, Proenza Schouler will be making a triumphant return as one of the headline designers at NYFW this September. The brand, which was the first ever winner of the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund, will be a welcome addition back to New York's fashion calendar.

Price points for the collection range from $225 to $2,495.

The Proenza Schouler and Grateful Dead capsule collection is priced between $225 and $2495 and is available online now.
