A NOIR AFFAIR AT BERGDORF GOODMAN

The blacker the berry, the sweeter the high fashion. Bergdorf Goodman, one of the pillars of luxury department stores in New York, will be opening Noir, an intimate shopping experience evocative of refined and mysterious sensuality. Curated by Linda Fargo, Bergdorf’s senior vice president and women’s fashion director, the shop will feature a selection of products and exclusive collaborations that exude dark glamour, seduction, power and femininity. Noir will open September 6, the first day of New York Fashion Week, just in time for the fashionistas to make their descent upon Manhattan.
Noir is centered around mystery, flirtation, strength and beauty. Located on the second floor, the shop will offer ready-to-wear, unique vintage pieces, accessories, decorative home items, edibles, art, lingerie and underpinnings, beauty products, and furniture. A select assortment from the in-store collection will be available online at BG.com.
“Noir is where it all starts,” said Fargo. “More than a color, is the ultimate signal of style — strong, seductive, mysterious and timeless. What else is there?”

Shoppers will uncover moments of mystery during each visit to Noir as the offering will evolve constantly. Punctuated by sensuous colors, provocative textures and bold silhouettes, the wearable selection aims to flatter, reveal, veil, enhance and emphasize a woman’s femininity. Vintage vanities and boudoir accessories mixed with mischievous décor and ornate jewelry highlight the mood. Bergdorf Goodman has also collaborated with various designers to help creative exclusive styles for the shop including Judith Lieber, Libertine, Brandon Maxwell, Aquazurra, Dundas, Gucci and Prada.
The shop will also feature a curated music playlist, specialty house cocktails and will play home to a series of events to promote the pop-up. To elevate the already luxurious shopping experience, the Noir shop will also feature lavish dressing room amenities. Bergdorf Goodman has also developed exclusive packaging that will only be available to customers shopping in Noir.
Additionally, together with Fargo, Kilian Hennessy has created Do It For Love, a signature scent that will debut for the shop’s launch.
To celebrate the opening, Bergdorf Goodman will present curated Fifth Avenue windows that will tease passers-by with the mysteries of Noir.
