Louis Vuitton’s new menswear director Virgil Abloh officially put his stamp on the brand last June, and now the essence of his first collection has come to life at Louis Vuitton’s New York 5th Avenue store and their Los Angeles Rodeo Drive store. The collection drew inspirations from the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz, while integrating a rainbow of color.

In the spirit of the new collection the windows consist of technicolor skies, fields of flowers and the yellow brick road. Additionally an oversized, colorful figure stands inside the store creating an optical illusion that extends onto the street and throughout the store.

Abloh has not only put his Louis Vuitton stamp on Fifth Avenue, but he also has a limited-edition residency at West Village's Chrome Heart store. The exclusively designed conceptual space feature's his latest Louis Vuitton collection's ready-to-wear, shoes, leather goods, and multi-colored accessories.

Louis Vuitton is going somewhere over the rainbow, where little fashion birds fly.
